Moving in with my Girlfriend
This was hands down one of the best decisions in my life. Some of you may say, “what?? THAT was a success??” My answer to the question is “of course!” (this might be a mush-fest near the end, so beware 
)
)I figure since we’ve talked to each other several times a day for close to 2 years, it would be the next logical step 
The whole point of moving in with my girlfriend was to become closer, to deepen and enrich our relationship. Dating while living separately is all fine and dandy, but when moving in together it had forced us to both grow individually and together. I’m a better man today for making the decision and sharing my all sides of life with her (including the stinky farts) and all the uncomfortable conversations we’ve had together. Of all the self-help gurus I’ve studied under, I’d say that my girlfriend has influenced me more than all of them combined.
Her uncanny discipline, iron-willed drive, super regimented schedule had rubbed off onto me. Our high-level intellectual conversations (to my standards anyway, hehe) that we had at least once a week for the last two years has forced me to think more critically about everything in life. Her unfaltering support and belief in me over the years had forced me to dig down deeper and question myself what I’m truly capable of. There are so many more reasons, but I’ll stop at this point.
One of the insecurities I have in my relationship with my girlfriend is if I’ve been just as much of a positive influence on her as she has been on me. I know I was a diamond in the rough when we first met, but I’ve been polished up and getting to the point becoming that ‘one karat’ kind of guy. I am truly grateful to have my girlfriend in my life.
Most importantly, though, the reason why moving in with my girlfriend was the best decisions in my life – is because I love her fully and completely and have come to understand that our relationship is the embodiment of love being actualized. We are Team Epi-tome. That is all
